The Knights of Columbus Liberty Council 1910 is proud to announce the
Father Thomas J. Gooley Scholarship, supporting Catholic students
pursuing college or trade school education for the
2026–2027 academic year.
This scholarship honors Father Thomas J. Gooley, former pastor of
Immaculate Conception Church, whose commitment to faith and education
continues to guide our parish community.

Scholarship Overview
- Six (6) scholarships of $2,500 each
- Available to full-time college or trade school students
- Funds are based on prior year investment income
- Payments are made directly to the student
- Scholarships must be reapplied for each academic year
Eligibility Requirements
- Practicing Catholic from the Parish of the Holy Cross OR child or grandchild of a Knights of Columbus Liberty Council 1910 member
- High school senior or recent graduate
- Enrollment in college or trade school for the 2026–2027 academic year
- Minimum GPA of 3.50
Application Process
- Complete the official scholarship application
- Submit an official academic transcript
- Provide two letters of recommendation
- Submit a maximum 500-word essay on how your Catholic faith has played a role in your life
- Provide a brief explanation of how your extracurricular service activities over the past two years align with the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism, and outline your plans for the upcoming school year and why these initiatives are important to you
- Participate in a personal interview (April 2026)
